Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia Tours Western Region Today
Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia will today Wednesday, 7th October begin a two-day tour of the Western Region to inspect ongoing projects, pay courtesy calls on some chiefs, interact with some settler communities and cut sod for some projects among others.
A statement issued by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communication in the region which was copied to Spice News said Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia would later proceed to the Ashanti Region for a similar tour of that region.
While in the Western Region, Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia will meet with the Chief and people at Atobiase in the Wassa East District; Durbar of Chiefs and people at Sameyi, Meeting with settler community at Elubo in the Jomoro District; and Sud Cutting of LPG Bottling Plant at Akyirim in Axim in the Nzema East Municipality.
Among the projects to be inspected are ongoing construction of the Durbar of Chief and people at Prestea Nkwanta in the Prestea-Huni Valley District; Inspection of Sureso to Samanoy road in the Amenfi East District.
Others are durbar of Settlers and commissioning of JHS at Manso Amenfi (Islamic School) in the Amenfi Central District; Courtesy call on Assankragwa Chief in the Amenfi West District; and inspection of Suhyensu Bawdie Asikuma- Dawurapong Road in the Amenfi Central District.
The Vice-President will also launch the Gwira Community Mining at Gwira-Anyinase and pay a visit to the Essiam Bypass and the Railway Training School at Essikado.
