Kotoko, Hearts & Ashgold to benefit from non payment of ‘Signing On Fees’ – Abeiku Ainooson

Hasaacas Captain, Abeiku Ainooson has asserted that only Kotoko, Hearts of Oak and Ashgold can decide not to pay players ‘Signing On Fees’ and yet pay salaries regularly with delays.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nana Yaw Amponsah revealed a week ago that the Porcupine Warriors will not be paying hefty amounts as inducement fees to attract players to wear the red jersey.

The new contract structure will ensure better monthly salaries which come as a result of spreading the inducement fees across the contract duration.

Former Porcupine Warrior, Samuel Abeiku Ainooson further added that only few clubs in Ghana can turn to stop paying that enticement fee and yet pay salaries constantly without issues.

“Non payment of Signing on Fee would help clubs like Kotoko, Hearts and Ashgold but a lot of clubs can’t pay the salaries regularly if Signing on Fee is spread unto players salaries”, he emphasized.

“Most clubs find it difficult to pay salaries regularly including ‘Signing On Fees’ which is agreed on paper but Kotoko for instance won’t owe you if it’s spread unto monthly salaries”, Abeiku Ainooson told Spice Center Sports.

The former Kotoko Defender currently plays as a captain and a center back for Sekondi based Division One side Hasaacas.
