Sidney Kofi Ofori known by the stage name Barima Sidney, in an interview shared a word of advice to his colleague artistes who has the aim to make a song for Political Parties.
He stated that if you’re an artistes and wants to make song for a political party make sure you charge and take your money before doing it.
He did a song and endorsed the ruling New Patriotic Party in 2016 election as his Support for the elephant party.
He advised that musician must utilize the business aspect of their craft hence must claim money of any song they do for these parties.
Speaking in an interview on Kumasi base radio station, Akuma FM, he said no artiste should do a song for free else they do it at the expense of their career.
Sidney however disclosed that after making song for free you can’t blame them for not showing appreciation.
