I was never flown to the UK for COVID-19 treatment President Akufo-Addo
President Akufo-Add in his first public comment on the issue on Tuesday, after his 14-day self-quarantine as a precautionary measure after he came into contact with a person who tested positive for Covid-19, He said he was amazed about the media reports.
He said he has been in Ghana throughout his two-week isolation period.
President Akufo-Addo made the comment when he met with members of the Vehicle and Asset Dealers Union of Ghana on Tuesday [July 21, 2020].
President Akufo-Addo expressed appreciation to members of the union for showing interest in his welfare.
“I want to thank you for your interest in my welfare, I am fine and I am here. I was sitting in my room and I was told I was sitting in a plane that was heading for Oxford, and it’s trajectory plotted on a map. I was amazed but there it is, this is the Ghana in which we live, thank you,” President Akufo-Addo said in response to well wishes from the Spokesperson of the Union, Mr Opoku-Agyemang.
The meeting which was at the instance of the President was to discuss concerns raised by the members about the new Automobile Development Policy at the Jubilee House on Tuesday.
