There Should Be A Law That Compels New Government To Complete Projects Of Previous Government – Lydia Forson
It has become a norm in Ghana for new governments to leave projects started by their predecessors to rot all under the guise of fulfilling the wishes of their manifesto during their campaign.
This unfortunate selfish acts has left Ghana with a lot of incomplete projects which could have benefited the citizens had the Government in power completed it.
Reacting to this, Ghanaian actress Lydia Forson is proposing for the enactment of a law that will force governments to complete all the projects their predecessors started before they can start new projects when they take over the government.
According to Lydia Forson in a Tweet, only a law can force governments to complete old projects before they start with new ones.
Ms Forson’s tweet read “We need to have a law that requires all governments to complete projects started by their predecessors. We’ve got too many uncompleted projects wasting away because of petty party politics. Almost every administration is guilty of this”.
