SPICE 91.9 FM LAUNCHES SANKOFA TO CELEBRATE GHANA’S HERITAGE THROUGH OUT MARCH

The month of March is one of the significant months on Ghana’s calendar since the country attained its independence within the period. Ghana which was been led by the Prime Minister, Dr Kwame Nkrumah declared its independence from the United Kingdom on 6th March 1957. This move made Ghana the first sub Sahara African country to have achieved independence.

The independent Month Marks the birth of the country Ghana therefore so much significance has been attached to the Month of March in the country today.

It is in this light that Spice 91.9 Fm, one of the leading locally based mass radio brands in Sekondi Takoradi has set out the month of March to project the culture heritage of the country through effective radio content tailored to bring back the memory of the good old days. The music content in the month of March is expected to be strictly from the 80s to the 90s.

In an exclusive interview with Spicefmonline, the acting programs manager of the station,  Abaidu Abednego  urged the on air personalities to skew their content towards  projecting of Ghana’s  Heritage  and bring back memories of the countr’s past heroes  and heroines  through exclusive interviews.

“We are doing this because we deem the month of March as a heritage month therefore it is fit to project our culture and significant memories worth celebrating .

I expect my presenters to live to the season since it is not going to be our usual content which means it is important to dig deeper and bring back perosnalities who have made impact but are currently missing in the scene for memories worthy reminiscing “
