The Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan assembly has issued a statement to cancel the premier of a movie titled “My Last Sex” which is expected to be shown today at the Sekondi Youth Center.
In a letter that was signed by the Metro Cordinating director on behalf of the Metro Chief Executive, the assembly said the movie has not been submitted for classification and therefore cannot classified as required by the law of Ghana.
Meanwhile the producer of the said movie expected to be shown on February 14th has already booked the Sekondi Youth Center for the Premier.
The assembly went ahead to also warn the facility manager to ensure that the premier of the said movie does not take place at the center or within its perimeters.
The Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan assembly has issued an alert to the Ghana police and other security agencies to ensure that any aspect of the content is not shown in the Metropolis without the necessary authorisation.
