C.EO. OF FOCUS 1 GROUP, KWAME ADU – MANTE MARKS 10YEARS JOURNEY OF DONATING TO SEKONDI PRISONS
Kwame Adu- Mante, Chief Executive Officer of Focus One Group today demonstrated his yearly commitment to 720 inmates of the Sekondi Prisons through the donation of assorted items worth Forty thousand Ghana cedis .
Inmates in both the male and female section of the prison all had their fair share of items including grocery food, domestic accessories and sets of hospital equipments and medications for the infirmary.
As part of marking the 10 year long symbolic gesture in style , invitation was extended to some radio stations in the metropolis to participate in the occasion by joining hands with Staff of Beach FM, Spice FM and Focus One distribution to distribute the items to the inmates. These stations included Empire Fm, Skyy Power Fm, Yfm and Connect FM.
In an exclusive interview with Beachfmonline, Kwame Adu Mante indicated that the gesture was a simply manifestation of the good bible’s commandment for us to love your neighbors as yourselves
“By doing that I believe that it is the greatest love you can show to your neighbor or friend because the good bible says we should love to our neighbors as ourselves and once they find themselves there it is a correctional facility but not a condemn facility so it’s always a step in the right direction to come around and show love”
He went ahead to advise the general public not to always perceive inmates in a bad light on the basis that the incarceration of some inmates could be due to lots of circumstances beyond the usual stereotype
DSP Nesta Adjetey Cyrian, Western Regional Public Relation Officer of Ghana Prisons Services on the behalf of the entire Sekondi Prison Services showed appreciation to the Focus One Group for the donation and called on the general public to emulate the continues commitment of Kwame Adu-Mante towards assisting the facilty in the last 10years.
He called on the general public to support the upkeep of the inmate since the government designated 1.80gh feeding fee for each inmate seems to be a major challenge .
