The Western Regional National Road Safety Authority has applauded Beach 105.5 Fm for its active participation in reducing road traffic crashes in the region.
The Commission through a letter of acknowledgment appreciated the station’s active participation, dedication and continued support of road safety programs.
” Through your active participation, dedication and continued support of road safety programmes, we were able to make significant progress in the region. Again, your ideas, inputs and enthusiasm were most helpful and have assisted us in making valuable improvements”
The National Road Authority also went ahead to call to for continues support of its 2020 agenda of ensuring a better safety situation for the greater good of citizens in the Western Region.

‘‘Eyes On the road’’ is a long running safety campaign on Beach Fm which continuously seeks to engage the National Road Safety Commission, MTTU, Organized Commercial driver groups, Red Cross DVLA and Fire Service for a holistic road Safety Education for listeners from time to time .
The Campaign gets to be delivered through On-Air (Beach Fm), Online (www.beachfmonline .com and all social media platforms) and outdoor broadcast.
The current statistics from the National Road Safety Authority indicate an increased in the total reported accident from 894 in 2018 to 1143 in 2019 indicating a 27.85 percentage increased in accident cases in the region which calls for more effort towards dealing with the carnage
