Universal Merchant Bank(UMB) Takoradi branch has organised a day’s Small Medium-Sized Enterprice business Clinic for its customers.
The program is aimed at building the capacity of customers in the area of Cash Cycle Management.
The program attracted customers of the bank, Private business people, small and medium sized enterprices(SMES), Chamber of Commerce and section of the general public.
Speaking to Beachfmonline, Director SME Samuel Sakyi – Hyde, said that it has become very necessary for the Bank to invest in building the capacities of its customers to ensure prudent financial management.
“Our aim is to build Capacity of customers in the area of cash cycle management, haven’t delt with SMES business for sometime now, Umb has noticed that in terms of managing the cash cycle there is a shortfall and so the need to equip our customers with the requisite knowledge to grow their businesses and make prudent financial choices”
Consulting Director of Credit at Universal Merchant bank, Eyram Atsu who spoke on the Topic ” Part 1: Cash Cyle of a Management ” also adviced
customers of the bank to be more strategic in a competitive business evironment to prevent them from folding up since it is only strategy that can bring survival to every business.
“it is not enough to put money into business and sit back expecting profit, the business environmemt is a battle field which can be won only by strategy so if you are not strategic you are not likely to survive “.
United Merchant bank Medium-Sized Enterprice business Clinic has so far made stops at Accra, Kumasi, Tamale and Takoradi with Tarkwa as the next destination.
