The Western Regional Minister and Member of Paliament for Takoradi , Kobby Okyere Darko – Mensah has made a passionate appeal to the residents of Essikafoambantam No.1 to consider painting their houses to compliment the beauty of the newly constructed concrete road in the vacinity .
Inspecting the work in progress on the newly constructed concrete road at Essikafoambantam No.1 a suburb of Sekondi Takoradi yesterday as part of the work in progress to fufill a major campaign promise of constructing 32 killometers of roads in the Takoradi constituency.
Kobby Okyere Darko – Mensah revealed to Beachfmonline in an exclusive interview that the construction of the Concrete road is a major campaign promise he made to the people of Essikafoambantam No. 1 and he was around to inspect the progress of work so far.
“This is one of the Major Campaign promise I made to the people of Essikafoambantam no.1 that when I win the elections I will construct a Concrete road for them so I have come to inspect the work we have done so far to brighten this area. I believe in Concrete I know it can last for more than 100years since the road would be plyed by small cars( light weight Vehicles)”
He also made a passionate appeal to the residents to paint their houses to compliment the beauty the concrete road comes with to make the whole development wholistic.
“As we have finished the project I will appeal to the residents to paint their houses. Actually you are suppose to paint your house every two years per the assembly’s law so we are appealing to residents to paint their houses to compliment the beauty of the road” .
According to Kobby Okyere Darko – Mensah the Concrete road project at Essikafoambantam no.1 is estimated at Gh 800,000 .
Other areas in Takoradi such Beach road and Adakope and more are also expected to have their fair share of the development.
