AMAKYE DEDE PROVES WHY GOVERNMENT HAS NO RESPECT FOR THE ENTERTAIMENT INDUSTRY

Amakey Dede one Ghana’s highlife legend has shared his frustration with an experience he had when he was called upon by the Chinese Embassy to join the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo in China to play a show for him and his delegation

Narrating his ordeal on United Showbiz on United Television on last Saturday which was monitered by Beachfmonline, Amakye Dede said that he had to stop his U.S tour because of the respect he had for his country only to touched down in Ghana and be later told that the show had been cancelled.

“I was called upon by my manager that the Chinese ambassy needed me to join the president’s team to China to play a show for him, I cancelled my U.S tour immediately after the call came through because I believed that serving your country was very important at that point. I return to Ghana only to told by my manager that the show has been cancelled.
My manager called upon the Chinese ambassy and some government officials who were associated with the deal to ensure that some sort of compensation is paid but all effort proved furtile “

Amakye Dede added that this and many other development are clear indication of the lack of respect the governement have for the creative business.
