WHILES THE BENTUM AND QUAYSON FAMILIES REJECT DNA RESULT, THE KORANCHIE'S PREPARES FOR FINAL FUNERAL RITE
There have been mixed reaction from the families for the three Takoradi missing girls after Ghana Police communicated the result of the DNA test.
The results as communicated by the Acting Inspector General of Police, James Oppong Boanuh, came out positive indicating that the skulls and other human remains retrieved over a month ago by the forensic team of the Ghana Police Service at the hideout of the prime suspect, Samuel Udoetuk Wills, are that of the missing girls.
To this end, it was convenient for the police to conclude that Priscilla Blessing Bentum, 21, Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie, 18; Ruth Love Quayson 18, and Ruth Abeka are deceased.
But this news had been met with some definite rejection by the Quaysons and Bentums. According to them, the results of the DNA test cannot be accepted, adding that the police failed to make the process transparent and involving. They have decided to apply for an independent test on the remains to enable them come up to some conclusion on the matter.
The Koranchie’s Family on the other hand, have embraced the outcome and initiated plans for a family gathering to decide the next line of action for their beloved daughter, Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie.
