GIVE US THE BONES TO CONDUCT OUR INDEPENDENT DNA TEST -FAMILY OF RUTHLOVE QUAYSON
The family of Ruthlove Quayson, one of the victims of the Takoradi kidnapping case, is demanding an independent forensic probe to ascertain whether their daughter is dead as claimed by the police.
The Police hierarchy after a DNA test conducted on some human parts retrieved from a former residence of the key suspect in the Takoradi kidnapping case, reported on Monday night that the DNA matched that of the missing girl hence they believe that the girl is dead.
But Ruthlove Quayson’s family does not believe the police’s claim.
According to the sister of the missing girl, Rebecca Quayson, they want the police to make available to them the human remains to enable them independently conduct a DNA test.
“We want them to give the bones to us. It is our right. After collecting the bones, we will do our own DNA. We will know if truly it is the girls or not. If we don’t have the capacity, we will plead with Ghanaians, if the money is huge, so they support us,” she said.
Rebecca Quayson said the family is yet to receive a copy of the Police’s test results, thereby raising suspicions over its authenticity.
