RWANDA CUTS SOD FOR THR CONSTRUCTION 4200M RUNWAY AND 6MILLION CAPACITY AIRPORT
President Kagame today cut sod for the construction of the first phase of an ultra modern Airport known as Bugesera Internatiinal Airport at a ground-breaking ceremony.
The airport is currently under construction, with phase one completion expected for 2020.
The airport feature a 4200m runway and have capacity 6 million passengers p/a.
The airport project will have an impact on national socio-economic transformation efforts, and is set to position Rwanda as a regional hub.
