I THREATENED TO COMMIT SUICIDE BECAUSE OF TOO MUCH PRESSURE ON GHANAIANS TO MARRY-THINK TWICE
Think Twice is the name of the man who climbed the Obetsebi Lamtey’s Statue
at the Obetsebi Lamptey interchange in Accra in the early hours of the morning in an attempt to commit suicide based on the fact that his wife has left him.
According to him he handles the pressure in the country and this is not the first time he has attempted suicide “I attempted suicide to draw the peoples attention on the need to deal with “Pressure” sometime ago at kejetia in kumasi, there is pressure in society which is killing people for example questions such as : when will you marry?, when will you give birth?, are you not potent?, why didn’t you great me?,given birth to one is not enough? ,when will I see my grand children? and children who have been kidnapped and loads of marrital issues are signals that there is pressure on people in society and that is why I am creating awareness for these practices to stop”
Inspector General of Pressure (IGP) was the inscription that was bodly written in the T- shirt he was wearing
It took the combined efforts of fire Service Personnel and some Police officers who saved him from that height.
