MENZGOLD SAGA: “AMBASSADORS MUST DISASSOCIATE THEMSELVES TO SAVE THEIR BRAND” – GEORGE BRITTON
The embattled gold dealership firm, Menzgold Ghana Limited lined up a number of reputable and well-known Ghanaian celebrities to push the brand and it agenda to higher heights.
On the back of the warrant to arrest the Chief Executive Officer of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah and three other directors of the said company for defrauding by false pretence and money laundering, Kecher’s manager; George Britton is advising all the brand ambassadors as well as celebrities who endorsed products from Menzgold to issue a disclaimer to disassociate themselves from the operations of the company.
“It will be ideal for these ambassadors to come out to disassociate themselves from Menzgold and what they were made to believe knowing to well they did not have details of the company’s operations excepts otherwise”, he said.
Speaking on the Sun Set Beach with the host Kwame Offei, the CEO of GB Records, GB Interactive and the famous georgebriton.com, George Britton laments its saddens his heart what is happening to Menzgold and Zylofon Media which signed most of the artiste and giving a face lift to the music industry in the country, “but next time before we do this we need to dig deeper; … even the laws of the land were not able to find out the truth until now. So even though their credibility might be on the line, I don’t fully blame them for what they did” he added.
He said he believes the fall of Menzgold can affect the career of these ambassadors in the unlikely event where its proven that Menzgold is a Ponzi Scheme. “Since their activities might have influenced some people decision to patronized Menzgold and invested some monies there,” he stressed.
