”Acquisition of land for office is hampering GNPC’s Move In The Western Region” – Comfort Aniagyei

Chief Finance and Administration Officer of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation, Comfort Aniagyei has reiterated government’s commitment to establishing an operational head office of the entity in the Western Region.
According to her GNPC is concluding on processes for the acquisition of land to begin construction of an office complex in the Western Region.

“We are almost concluding on land. Hopefully next year, construction of the operational head office will begin”, she said.
Mrs Aniagyei however clarified that the administrative office of GNPC will remain in Accra.
Mrs Aniagyei made this remark on the sidelines of the 5th National Policy Summit currently ongoing in Takoradi on the topic “Making The Best of Ghana’s Oil – The Role of GNPC”.
Her statement comes on the back of demands from participants for clarification and assurances from government on the relocation of the head office of the GNPC to the Western Region.
So far the state agency has secured an office here in Takoradi, for the GNPC foundation.
