Country Manager Betway Ghana commends Western Basketball Association
Magnus Rex Danquah Junior, Country Manager, Betway Ghana has showered praises on Western Basketball Association for their effort in the development of Basketball in the country.
Betway Ghana held the maiden edition of the Betway Community Basketball at Takoradi Technical University Court hosting seven teams from four cities, a team from Accra, Cape Coast, Sekondi and four teams from Takoradi were engaged on Friday, May 25 alongside some individual displays in the free throw challenge, dunk challenge and three pointer challenge.
According to Rex Danquah the choice of the venue was due to WBA’s effort in enhancing the development of the sport in the country.
“That’s about it, the association in western region is doing very well, the Western Basketball Association is really working and we saw it to be a good deal, that’s why we held the program at Takoradi.”
“The association is helping youth to develop their talent, holding training sections everyday to help the youth so we saw it to be a good deal and when people are doing a good thing, you help them out.”
Nungua Cold Store emerged Winners on the day after thumping Oil City Dragons 48 -17 baskets in the final game.
Turf Larry of Nungua Cold Store won the 3 pointer contest and Wolff Emmanuel emerged as the Most Valuable Player.
