Kojokrom Traditional Council urges Railway Ministry to speed up construction of overhead bridges
The Kojokrom Traditional Council is calling on government to fast track activities on the construction of overhead-bridges across the railway lines in Kojokrom. The Rail lines has serve as a major blockage, splitting the Kojokrom Township into two without any access route to the other. The situation has resulted into constrictions on the main highway bridge atop the rain lines. Pedestrians and vehicular movement is very threatening.
Fortunately, after cries by residents and authorities an overpass is being constructed some 200 meters away from the highway bridge.
Stool Secretary for the Kojokrom Traditional Area, Nana Kome tells Skyy News they have been assured of two bridges across the rail lines. He adds that work is progressing on one but urged government to hasten the process and then continue with the other as promised.
Nana Kome charged the Railways Ministry to get the construction firm fence the outer parameter of the railway lines and station, as well as provide decent link roads to the station.
