Kofi Kinata pays glowing tribute to CK Mann

The westside music icon Martin King Arthur known in showbiz as Kofi Kinata has lauded CK Mann for the legacy he’s left the region and the country as a whole.

According to him, the likes of CK Mann and Papa Yanson have really defined high-life music in Ghana and later fine-tuned it into what has come to be known as Western Highlife Music.

In an exclusive interview with the western regions finest DJ, DJ Magnus, Kofi Kinata recounted how the works of CK Mann influenced his music career as a young boy in the primary school.

“Even though I did not see the active days of CK Mann, the quality of his works and the contents of his songs tells it all”.

Kofi however mentioned that the last physical encounter with CK Mann was before the “Made in Taadi” concert here in Takoradi. “I visited him at the hospital and on his sick bed he was full of advise for me and my team, to the extent that he gave me some voice training tips. He is really a mentor”, he added.
“CK Mann we must understand has lived his life well so far as his chosen career is concern and has left a great responsibility that must be upheld by the upcoming musicians especially those of us from the western region. We sympathize with the bereaved family” Kofi Kinata said.
