Ghana’s Queens to be $10K Rich by June after WAFU Triumph

The Black Queens of Ghana will have to wait till June for a financial reward of 10,000.00 USD from the Ministry of Youth and Sports according to reports.
Coach Mercy Tagoe Quaicoo led the Queens to a fine showing at the 2018 WAFU Women’s Cup of Nations – the Black Queens of Ghana avenged their opening day lost to tournament host[Ivory Coast] courtesy a third minute header by Janet Egyir to secure the maiden trophy.
The Queens secured a historic second major title after Coach Yusif Basigi’s side clinched the 2015 All African Games gold medal.
Information from deep throat sources indicate that the nation’s senior women’s national team will have to wait till June before laying a hand on their reward from the government’s coffers.
Officials of the MOYS have already stipulated June as the month which the Black Queens will have their pockets filled according to reports.
The Black Queens will be taking a break and will regroup for their purported friendly against Japan on April 1.
Ghana will host the 2018 AWCON which is somewhere November and December. Also serving as qualification to the FIFA Women’s World Cup in France 2019.
