Asante Kotoko 18 players arrive in Brazzaville for CARA clash
Coach Steve Pollack named 18-man squad ahead of the second leg of the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Confederations Cup against Club Athlétique Renaissance Aiglon Brazzaville (CARA) in Congo scheduled for Wednesday, February 21.
Coach Steve Polack’s side that won the Ghana FA Cup, would need to win or draw the encounter to proceed to the next stage of the preliminary round, after winning by a goal to nil in the first leg at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The team, departed Ghana on Monday, February 19, with Ghana’s U-17 national team goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim, making the squad alongside first-choice Felix Annan, with new arrival Emmanuel Owusu, who joined them from NEA Salamina as well as Seth Opare.
Adams, Yakubu Mohammed and Obed Owusu would lead the lines for the porcupine warriors.
The full list includes – goalkeepers Felix Annan and Ibrahim Danlad, with Amos Frimpong, Eric Donkor, Wahab Adams, Nafiu Awudu, Augustine Sefa, Emmanuel Owusu making up for defence.
Jackson Owusu, Edwin Tuffour Frimpong, Jordan Opoku, Baba Mahama, Emmanuel Gyamfi, Kwame Boahene, and Frank Sarfo Gyamfi, would make up the midfield.
