"Pay Royalties to Music Right Owners" – Ayigbe Edem
Ayigbe Edem has called on media houses to regularly pay their royalties to musicians in the country so they can properly cater for themselves and family whiles they live and when they are no more their successors and family can equally benefit from their master piece as an artist.
Addressing a huge crowd at the one-week celebration of the 90’s bad girl, Ebony Reigns’ at the St. Martin De Porres School Dansoman-Accra, Denning Edem Hotor a Ghanaian recording artist who performs under the name Edem stressed that, paying royalties to musicians simply means growing the creative art sector of our economy, “so government must ensure that all Radio and TV Stations pay their royalties promptly.
Ghana Music Right Orgainzation (GHAMRO) is only government approved copyright organization for music right owners in the country which is responsible for collecting and distributing royalties etc among music right owners and the likes.
