Black Queens to leave the country on Sunday for WAFU 2018
The Senior Female National team of Ghana, the Black Queens will be leaving the country on Sunday, February 11 ahead of the maiden edition of the WAFU Women’s Cup of Nations.
Black Queens opened camp on January 10 with Assistant Coach Mercy Myles and will be leaving to their nearest western neighbors( Ivory Coast) ahead of the tournament.
The maiden edition of the women’s football fiesta will be hosted in Ivory Coast starting Wednesday February 14 to February 24.
Eight nations were pitted into two groups of fours nations in each. The top two nations in each group will progress to the semifinals of the maiden WAFU tournament.
Group A: Ivory Coast, Niger, Burkina Faso, Ghana
Group B: Nigeria, Togo, Benin, Senegal
