CAF U-20 WC Qualifiers: Adubea pleads for support
Skipper of Ghana’s Under-20 Female side, Princella Adubea is pleading with Ghanaians to fill the Cape Coast Stadium on Saturday, January 27, when they take on Les Indomitable Lioness of Cameroon in their final Women’s World Cup qualifier.
The resolute Black Princesses played a one all draw against their Cameroonian counterparts in Yaounde, Cameroon in the first leg of the FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier.
The Black Princesses are hoping to win the 2nd leg encounter or at worse qualify for the tournament in France later this year with a goalless draw.
“We are determined to win at all cost, however we believe an overwhelming support from fans would be a huge source of encouragement”, she told graphic sports.
“When we went to Yaounde, the stadium was so full. It was unbelievable that it was a women’s game so we believe our supporters home can also urge us on with their presence”.
According to the Black Princesses goal poacher, she together with her team mates don’t see the upcoming game as just the final leg but also the most important; the one match to take them to France.
“We want to plead with all Ghanaian to come to the stadium and support us in this crucial game”, she added.
The Black Princesses who needed a very good result from the first game drew 1-1 courtesy a Priscilla Adubea goal in the 52nd minute, after Takounda Engolo, had put the host in the lead on the 11th minute.
The final encounter will be played on Saturday, January 27 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
