Ghana Premier League newbies Karela United Football Club have secured the signature of Sierra Leone international Donald Wellington with few weeks to the start of the 2017-18 season.
Donald Wellington has been training with the “Pride and Passion” side for about two months now and put pen to paper on a two year deal which will see him tied to the club till January 2020.
Wellington was part of the squad that played in the G8 pre-season tournament and squandered the penalty against Medeama SC in the final group game which could have qualified Karela to the semifinals.
The former IFK Varnamo and Al Shabab Ghazieh attacker was also a key member of the Sierra Leone squad who participated in the 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations hosted in Ghana.
The 25-year-old becomes the second international player to join the Nzema Aiyinase based side.
