Police in Accra have arrested three bomb wielding individuals suspected to have links to the dreaded terrorist group ISIS.
The suspects(names withheld) were arrested by the Odorkor Divisional Police command and are currently in custody pending the commencement of investigations
The development has sparked comments on social media with people raising questions about the safety of the general public.
The suspects were in possession of what appeared to be hand held grenades that can be thrown to a distance of about 35 metres. At least 50% of people exposed to a grenade explosion can become casualties within a radius of about 15 metres from the blast.
Most grenades do not detonate on impact, but chemical grenades only have a 2 second delay fuse element.
