Aduana Stars Football Club winners of the 2016-17 Ghana Premier League will face FA Cup winners Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the season curtain raiser[Super Cup match] on Sunday January 28 at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
The clash between last season’s league winners and FA Cup winners, christened “the Champions of Champions”, will herald the opening of the 2017/18 football season.
Aduana Stars secured their second Ghana Premier League title last season with 57 points while Asante Kotoko also beat rivals 3-1 to lift their 9th FA Cup trophy.
The Ghana Premier League will then commence two weeks after the game, with 3rd and 4th February also scheduled for the Ghana Football Association Invitational Gala.
This will be the first time the two sides will face each other in the Super Cup
