Amidu is courageous and competent – Akuffo-Addo lauds "Citizen Vigilante"

His Excellency Akufo-Addo has lauded the newly nominated Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu also refereed to popularly as Citizen Vigilante.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in his speech said he can vouch for the first of its kind Special Prosecutors  public spiritedness.




Mr Martin ABK Amidu, has been appointed Ghana’s first Special Prosecutor subject to Parliamentary approval today at a short address by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Flagstaff House.
The announcement was made by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Flagstaff House in Accra on Thursday, 11 January 2018 which has been accepted by many including former CHRAJ boss Mr. Emile Short.
Mr Akufo-Addo, during the announcement said: “I have done so because I am fully convinced that Mr Martin Amidu, a prominent legal personality who held the high office of the Attorney General of the Republic in the government of the Late President Professor John Evans Atta Mills has the requisite integrity, competence, courage and independence of character to discharge effectively his responsibilities of this new office.
