Saanie Daara – "GFA will have a better 2018"
The Communication Director for the Ghana Football Association, Saanie Daara acquainted that the association will have a better year, 2018, compared to what happened in 2017.
Saanie Daara, PRO, believes Ghana Football Association did not see a lot of improvement in 2017 but he is optimistic 2018 will be a better year for the game as well as the nation.
On Asempa FM Saanie Daara said, “We are looking forward to a better footballing year as the female U20 national team begin preparations this month for the World Cup in June, series of friendly matches lined up for the Black Stars in March and June then a major assignment in September. Also, we will host the Africa Women Championship in November.”
The Communication Director of the Football Association added, “Our Ghana premier league clubs, Aduana Stars and Asante Kotoko will represent the country in this season’s CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup respectively and we are hoping all these footballing activities go well.”
Ghana couldn’t not qualify for the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup after they finished third in a Group which housed Egypt, Uganda and Congo.
