Black Queens Players Moan over Aiteo CAF Awards Snub
Ghana’s senior female national team, Black Queens players have aired their disappointment after being overlooked during the 2017 Aiteo CAF Awards hosted at the Accra International Conference Center, Ghana.
Led by skipper Elizabeth Addo, the four which includes; attacking duo Samira Suleman, Florence Dadson and center back Linda Eshun took to Twitter during the ceremony to reveal how saddened they are after not even a single invitation to their camp.
The quartet tweeted on the fact that none of the players, not even the skipper of the Black Queens was invited to the ceremony and blamed the Local Organizing Committee for disrespecting them though Ghana hosted the ceremony.
Center back Linda Eshun vehemently insisted that Ghana’s Women’s League Board must bow down in shame for showing their nonexistence and disrespecting the women’s football in the country.

No Black-queens player was invited just to even Attend the CAF Awards Hosted in Ghana? ☹️☹️☹️ now this is ridiculous. My sisters deserves better.

Not only that, the players of the Black Queens of Ghana took time to congratulate their Nigerian counterpart[Asisat Oshoala] for achieving the magnificent feat as the only player to have snatched the award on three different occasion only bettered by fellow country-mate Perpetua Nkwocha with four to her name[2004, 2005, 2010 and 2011].

Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala clinched her third African Women’s Footballer of the Year Award, beating competition from South Africa’s Chrestina Kgatlana and Cameroon’s Gabrielle Aboudi Onguene.
The former Arsenal Ladies and Liverpool Ladies inspired her Chinese side Dalian Quanjian to a double with 19 goals.
Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah claimed the best player award in the Men’s category beating competition from club mate, Sadio Mane and Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Augbameyang.
