NSMQ2018: Full list of qualified schools from the Western Region
2018 National Science and Maths Quiz will have eleven schools from the Western Region after a two day regional qualification program held at the Ghana National Association of Teachers(GNAT) Hall, Fijai.
2012 Winners and 7th ranked best school in the competition, Ghana Secondary Technical School(GSTS), 2017’s quarter finalists Archbishop Porter Girls Senior High School(APGSHS) and Takoradi Senior High School(TADISCO) qualified without going through any qualification system based on past records at the NSMQ.
Six competitions were held on Monday and Tuesday, 5th and 6th of February, six winners from the respective competitions to snatch a place in the National finals.

St Mary’s Boys and Fiaseman Senior High School snatched the two slots for the best runner up positions to complete the full list of eleven schools to represent the Western Region.
Eleven Schools failed to turn up for the competition. Surprisingly St. John’s School didn’t turn up.
Some intriguing numbers
46 – Sekondi College had the most points(46) accumulation after four rounds.
4 – Daboase SHS got the least points(4) after four rounds.
3 – GSTS, TADISCO and APGSHS were the seeded schools that didn’t go through the regional competition.
