Yaya Toure re-avails himself for national team selection
Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure has re-availed himself for national team selection.
The 34-year-old announced on Twitter that he has reversed his international retirement with the Ivory Coast, as he aims to make a return for the Elephants in the New Year.
The Manchester City midfielder quits international football in September 2016, a year after leading the West Africans to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations title.
Yaya Toure, who has accumulated over 100 caps for the Ivory Coast, represented his country at the 2006, 2010 and 2014 World Cup tournaments.
I love my country and am available for national team selection. I want to help the next generation and use my experience to make all Ivorians proud!! pic.twitter.com/2wOPZvj15f
