On 12/12/17 at 9:30 pm, 4 armed men wielding AK 47 assault rifles on board Toyota Corolla Taxi cab with reg. no. GX 9514-13 attacked one Madam Hellen Asante of Asante Supermarket near Agric Dev. Bank, Nungua and robbed her of cash the sum of Forty five thousand Ghana Cedis amidst sporadic firing and bolted with the booty.
Police quickly gave the suspects a chase and got them intercepted at Abatoir Police Snap Check Point but one of them managed to escape.
An amount of Nineteen thousand, five hundred Ghana Cedis, six hundred USA dollars, a pistol with six rounds of ammunition were retrieved from suspects Ibrahim Ayirebo, Bright Dorkanu and Stanley Akorli whilst the fourth suspect whose name was given by them as Raymond Amegashie, alleged to be a Police Officer at Tema Community 1 Police Station, escape with unspecified amount or money and two AK 47 rifles.
