A young man believed to be his early thirties whose name was only given as Kwabena Felix this morning slaughtered his four months pregnant girl friend at New Town a suburb of Asankrangwa in the western Region.
Our reporter is reporting that, neighbour’s say they heard a quarrel ensued between the two lovers on Saturday, December 9th around 10pm which was settled before they went to bed.
According to neighbours, Kwabina Felix a galamseyer’s suspects his girlfriend, Abena Nafesatu who is 22 years old and operates a chop bar at Asankrangwa is still seeing her formal boy who also lives in the same community with them. And that, Felix suspects that the pregnancy does not belong to him but the formal boyfriend of his girlfriend.
At about 10am Sunday morning, neighbours lament they heard the two fighting again but did not take them serious because that has been a usual thing between the two lovers. Until they heard a strange scream from their room.
Upon arrival, they met the victim, Abena in a pull of blood dead with her head cut off whiles Felix was trying hard to also kill himself.
The Asankrangwa District police Command has since confirmed the story and said Felix is now in a critical situation but responding to treatment at the Asankrangwa Catholic Hospital but the body of his girlfriend, Nafesatu has been deposited at the Enchi Government Hospital morgue pending autopsy.
