There Are Homosexuals At The Flagstaff House – Nii Lante Vandepuye
Member of Parliament of the Odododiodoo constituency, Nii Lante Vandepuye has alleged that he knows some people who belongs to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender group and are at the Flagstaff House
The former youth and sports minister did not mention names; he has threatened to give names of the people engaged in the act.
President Nana Akufo-Addo said on Aljazeera that legalization of homosexuality is bound to happen in Ghana if public opinion for it legalization grows stronger.
“I don’t believe that in Ghana, so far, a sufficiently strong coalition has emerged which is having that impact on public opinion that will say: ‘Change it [the law], let’s then have a new paradigm in Ghana.”
“I think it is something that is bound to happen like elsewhere in the world, they are activities of individuals or groups,” he said.
However, Nii Lantey Vanderpuije who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Odododiodoo constituency said he is not surprised about the President’s position on homosexuality.
“Our culture and society does not permit this and it will never happen because we cannot allow people’s liberty to override our constitutional and cultural values,” he said on Joy TV.
He added: “They are even at the Flagstaff House…yes they are at the Flagstaff House” adding that “there are people within government who belongs to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT).”
