Ghana’s female juvenile teams have received products from the producers of 5 Star Energy Drink and Perla Natural Drinking Water, Multi Pac Ghana Limited.
The Black Maidens and Black Princesses were presented with 100 cartons of assorted products by the company.
A management member of the company Kaiser Abrahams said the donation was made because of the lack of attention for female competition.
“This donation is part of responsibility as a corporate citizen of Ghana and we chose women’s football because we feel they are often neglected by corporate Ghana but they need the most support.
“We don’t want to wait for them to achieve laurels before we come out and make a presentation; we have to offer them the needed support right from the start here in Prampram.”
The Black Maidens face Gambia in the first round of the CAF qualifiers for the FIFA U-17 Female World Cup in Uruguay.
The Black Princesses hold a 5:0 first leg advantage over their Kenyan counterparts and are expected to make it to the FIFA Youth World Cup to be hosted in France next year.
