Captain Planet(4×4) – I won't advice any upcoming artiste to join a group
Sylvanus Dodji Jeoffrey of 4×4 in an interview disclosed he wouldn’t advice any upcoming artiste to join any musical group, stating it’s very difficult to maintain the group since you have to be able to tolerate one another.
With the stage name Captain Planet, he joined Raphael Edem Avornyo( Coded) to form the group 4×4 since 2000, Prince Tamakloe(Fresh Prince) recently joined the two.
In an interview Captain Planet, marked as one of Ghana’s top rap artist opined that every upcoming artist should stay solo to be able to exhibit his/her own talents and if he had the chance to turn back time, he wouldn’t have joined the group.
“I won’t advice any upcoming artiste to join a group, there’s no freedom, and exhibition of talents are being limited.
Maintaining a group is very difficult, people in the group have different ideologies.” – He concluded
The group was adjudged winners of the 2010 VGMA Afro Pop Song of the year with their album World Trade Center – 2012 album Waist and Power also won VGMA’s Best Group of the Year and Album of the Year.
