Crystal Palace appoint De Boer as new manager

Crystal Palace have appointed former Ajax and Inter Milan manager Frank de Boer as their new manager on a three-year deal.

De Boer succeeds former England boss  Sam Allardyce, who departed after guiding Palace to escape relegation from the Premier League last season.
Frank de Boar De Boer managed Ajax between 2010 and 2016. He won the Eredivisie for four consecutive seasons between 2011 and 2015.
He was sacked by Italian side Inter in November after only 85 days in charge of the Milan based club.
De Boer said”I have a good feeling about the club – I was very excited.”
He added that “Crystal Palace is a club that can still grow further. I’ve done my homework on the players.”

He said he had learned “a lot” from his time at the San Siro and hoped to put that experience to good use at Palace.
