Friendly Games Against Mexico And USA Very Important To Us – Asamoah Gyan.
Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan says the friendly games against Mexico and the USA are important and the players will attach seriousness and commitment to ensure victory in both games.
The Black Stars are currently ranked 49th in the World and 9th on the Africa continent, a position the team is determined to improve.
According to Gyan, the Black Stars want to win the game to improve on the team’s position on the FIFA ranking.
“These matches are very important, because it will be good for our FIFA ranking, Gyan told reporters after Black Stars’ training on Tuesday in Accra.
“We will treat it like a serious game even though it’s a friendly. We have to protect our reputation in this match so we have to go there and play our normal game and make sure we win.
“With Football anything can happen but we are focused on the friendlies because it is very very important.”
Ghana will face Mexico on June 28th Houston Dynamo Stadium, before locking horns with USA on July 1st at the Pratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford, Connecticut.
