NMC Chairman urges journalists to resist political manipulation in 2024 elections

Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh, Chairman of the National Media Commission (NMC), has urged journalists to maintain their independence and integrity as the 2024 general elections approach.

During the launch of Radio Univers’ 30th Anniversary, Mr. Ayeboafoh stressed the importance of upholding journalistic standards.

He encouraged reporters to prioritize accuracy and honesty in their coverage, especially during this crucial electoral period.

Mr. Boadu-Ayeboafoh cautioned against allowing political manipulation, emphasizing the need for journalists to remain committed to their professional ethics.

He highlighted the challenges faced by the media industry, particularly the lack of specific regulations for electronic media in Ghana.
