Insure Your Homes And Other Properties Against Unforeseen Circumstances

The Branch Manager of Nsia Insurance in Takoradi, Miss Linda Aba Sackey says insuring the home and other valuables is always the best way to go for both homeowners and tenants.

According to her, individuals must ensure to insure their properties especially when they do not reside in their own homes.

Miss Aba Sackey noted that properties can be insured against fire, earthquakes, floods, electrical faults, and amongst others.

She adds that public liability can also be considered particularly when third parties are involved in the home.

Miss Aba Sackey mentioned this in an interview with Yao Mawutor Fianu on the Mid-Morning Show.

” You can ensure your content or property in a building you are living in as a tenant. You are insuring against fire, earthquakes, floods, electrical faults, and all those things. You can even add burglary. So if you have people coming into your home more often, you can add public liability.

That will not include your family members.

The differences are mostly in the pricing because if it’s commercial, you are paying a bit more than for private. So depending on what insurance you go in for there can be additions or subtractions.” Miss Aba Sackey said.

She furthermore reveals that insuring against fire is the cheapest and advised individuals to get home insurance for their properties.

According to her, ” Fire insurance is one of the cheapest insurance you will have. People will mostly compare their third-party insurance to fire insurance.

The risk between fire and third-party insurance is different. People are paying as low as 200 cedis a year for their fire insurance. fire insurance is the cheapest you will get.”
