Skipper of Dansoman based, Liberty Professionals, Samuel Sarfo has revealed that his main target now after lifting the 2017 Fox TV WAFU Championship trophy is to push Liberty Professionals out of the drop zone.
Samuel Sarfo couldn’t debunk rumors of clubs calling for his signature, but stated he has a task to do at Liberty Professionals, that is to help the Club to climb the Ghana Premier League log.
As a skipper and a leader of the Ghana Premier League side, the Black Stars defender claims the onus now lies on him to carry shoulder high the Scientific Soccer Lads to a respectable position with four more games to end the season.
Samuel Sarfo started and finished all six of Ghana’s games in the just ended WAFU Championship, but reveals exclusively to George Nitro Duah, that the joy that comes with winning the gold medal is buried – “I want to finish the season on a good note with Liberty Professionals, push the club out of the relegation zone, that’s what i think about now, my topmost priority.”
With 32 points, two points away from safety and 14th on the league log, Liberty Professionals need to accrued maximmum points from the four remaining encounters to ensure a stay in the topflight.
Liberty Professionals will be traveling to the Tarkwa and Aboso Park to face, Medeama SC on match day 27(October 4), the side will then host Berekum Chelsea on match day 28(October 8), a game week 29(October 15) visit to 13th on the log, Inter Allies, before wrapping the season up against Kumasi Asante Kotoko(October 22) at home.
