Police Set to Question Suspect George Osei who stabbed Old Vandal to death

Suspect, George Osei is set to be questioned by the Greater Accra Regional Police for allegedly stabbing an old vandal to death yesterday, 10th November, 2017.
George Osei is currently in police custody for allegedly stabbing a former member of the Commonwealth Hall, Martin Tweneboah, popularly known as Chief Tipsy to death during an argument.
Chief Tipsy is said to have died at the Legon Hospital after sustaining multiple stab wounds.
Initial reports were that he was also a former student of the University of Ghana and a vandal for that matter. But the Old Vandals have disassociated themselves from the suspect.
Greater Accra Police PRO Afia Tenge told Adom News’ Maame Esi Thompson that the police is still investigating the case.
“George Osei is in our custody assisting the police in investigations, when we are done with the investigations, we will arraigned him before court…,” she said.
According to her, George Osei told the police that he is an ‘associate vandal’ while the victim, the late Chief Tipsy is a former chief of the hall.
“The victim has been identified as an old vandal while the suspect says he is an old vandal…,” she said further.
Meanwhile, Director of Affairs at the University of Ghana, Madam Stella Amoah says the university is saddened by the incident.
