Yaw Lucas, one of Sekondi Takoradi’s rap pillars and the Western Music Awards 2018 rapper of the year seems not to be happy with Kofi Kinaata’s contribution towards artistes who have not tasted record label before in the Western region.
Explaining his ordeal with Kofi Kinaata on Pimpina on Spice Fm 91.9 with Yoofi Eyeson, Yaw Lucas said he wanted to feature Kofi on his song titled ” Me side Ay3 D3w” but Kofi kinaata refused.
Yaw lucas talks about about why the project did not come into a reality because of his preference for Kinaata’s rap as compared to his singing abilities.
“I wanted Kofi Kinaata to rap on my song titled “Me Side Ay3 Dew” but Kinaata only wanted do singing, I preferred his rap to his singing, I wanted you, Kinaata to Rap not necessarily your singing abilities on my song but Kofi kinaata wanted to sing, it is my track and I determine what I want”.

This and many other issues have pushed Yaw lucas to release a diss track titled “Who Be You” in which he makes it emphatic that Kofi is a lazy artiste who only drops songs when Easter and Christmas festives are looming.
In the same song he throws shot at Kinaata who predominantly prefers singing to rapping and according Lucas if rap doesn’t pay Sarkodie would have been a poor man by now.
