Former Deputy Sport Minister, Hon. Vincent Oppong Asamoah says he pity’s Kurt Okraku looking at the challenges he is currently facing since he assumed office as the president of Ghana football association.
According to Vincent Oppong Asamoah, it will be difficult to assess the performance of the current president of the Ghana Football Association due to COVID-19 Pandemic in addition to the legacy of Dr. Kofi Amoah’s led normalization committee ,he made this known in an interview on spice FM’s centre sport in Sekondi-Takoradi .
“I pity Kurt Okraku, If you are assessing him, on what basis are you assessing him looking at how our football was even managed under the normalization committee before he took over, he started the league on a good note and the performance wasn’t bad and suddenly COVID-19 pandemic came so how can you assess Kurt Okraku’s administration.”
The Dr.Kofi Amoah led Normalization Committee was appointed by Fifa to temporally take over the reins of football administration in Ghana after the Anas expose in 2018,which led to the ban of then Ghana Football Association president Kwasi Nyantakyi.
The Kurt Okraku administration is just seven (7) month in office and has been confronted with wide range of criticism from a session of football administrators and club owners who believe the Ghana football association still lacks transparency.
