Government is preparing to receive some 245 Ghanaians to be deported from Kuwait in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.
These Ghanaians who live in Kuwait illegally will arrive in the country tomorrow, Saturday, 23 May 2020 on a chattered flight even though the borders remain closed.
This was disclosed by Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah at a press conference in Accra on Friday, 22 May 2020.
The deportees according to Mr Nkrumah will go through mandatory quarantine and testing for COVID-19.
He added that the government has put in place all measures to ensure the health of the general population even as the government prepares to allow the deportees into the country.
