Black Queens Draw Super Falcons in WAFU Women's Cup Semifinals

Ghana’s Black Queens will be playing Africa’s powerhouse, Super Falcons at the semifinals of the maiden edition of the WAFU Women’s Cup of Nations tournament.
The Black Queens after a blip start which saw them toppled by host Ivory Coast by 1:0 in the open day fixture bounced back with an impressive 9:0 and 4:1 victories against Niger and Burkina Faso to finish second on group A log a point behind Ivory Coast.
In group B, Super Falcons were unstoppable against Senegal, Togo and Mali. Nigeria won all three of their group games securing a 10 goal advantage and conceding just one.
The two top ranked female football countries on the continent will lock horns on Thursday, February 22 at the Parc Des Princess at exactly 4:30PM to draw sword for a slot in the final of the maiden tournament.
The other semifinal game will see host Ivory Coast engaging Mali at same venue exactly 7:30PM.
Black Queens are in the preparation mode ahead of their 2018 African Women’s Cup of Nations(2018 AWCON).
