SEKONDI MP, ANDREW EGYEPA MERCER URGES "PANYA" TO CONDUCT A DECENT CAMPAIGN IN THE RUN UP TO THE 2020 ELECTIONS.

Member of Parliament for Sekondi Constituency, Andrew Egyepa Mercer in a facebook post has urged the newly elected parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Charles Hagan, who is popularly known as “Panya” to conduct a decent campaign devoid of rancor and acrimony in the run up to the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections

The noble politician in his Facebook post, stated that “I called to congratulate the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate Elect for Sekondi, Mr. Charles Hagan”

He assured his political opponent, that he would conduct himself and campaign with decorum, if he’s given a second mandate to represent the New Patriotic Party of the Sekondi Constituency for the 2020 general election.

“Whilst extending my congratulations, I intimated that should I be chosen as my party’s candidate for 2020 during my party’s primaries, it would be my expectation that we both conduct a decent campaign devoid of rancor and acrimony in the run up to the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.

“I reiterated my belief that at the core of our individual quest to offer ourselves for public service is the desire to work to advance the cause of our beloved Sekondi. Accordingly, it was important that we live above petty squabbles and the usual animosity that has regrettably become associated with our politics; and urged him to work with me to conduct an issue based campaign” Hon. Mercer noted.

He disclosed that Mr Hagan has also promised to do same, and that both had agreed to consciously work at serving the interest of the people.

“He [Charles Hagan] expressed his commitment to heed to my call in the larger interest of Sekondi.

Together we shall make Sekondi great again” he concluded.
